WALKOWICZ, ROBERT D. "WALLY"

Of Jackson, passed away on August 8, surrounded by his family, at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn A.; his 4 children, Delores A. (Lester O.) Holdridge, Denise L. Walkowicz (John J. Siedlecki), Robert E. D. (Tina), Bradley J. (Diane), 6 grandchildren, Farra L. Mathews, Christine A. Fitzner-Le Blanc (Leigh), Elizabeth J. Walkowicz, James R. Palmer III (Sarah A. Griffus) , Katherine J. Walkowicz, Bradley D. Walkowicz; one great grand child, Javen J. Palmer; one sister, Marjorie Butcher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wally served in the US Navy from 1947 to 1952 on the U.S.S. Leyte during the Korean War. Wally retired from Mechanical Products, having never missed a day of work, in his 40 years of employment. He enjoyed restoring classic cars and military vehicles. He was a member of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association (MVPA).

Robert is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held Thursday, 1:00 PM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pastor Michael Mason officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 10:30 AM to 1:00PM.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cascades Humane Society, Jackson Interfaith Shelter, or the Red Cross.
