Taft, Robert L.
Of Jackson, passed away under the loving care of his family and the staff at the Henry Allegiance Hospice Home on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the age of 91. Survived by his daughter, Cindy Fojtik; grandchildren, Kara (Kenneth) Watts and Trevor Fojtik; great grandchildren, Hunter and Jaycee Watts; one sister, Janet (Richard) Westerman; sister-in-law, Irene Taft; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews who meant the world to him. Preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Louise; son-in-law, Doug Fojtik; two brothers, Bill and Jack; and two sisters, Mickey and Betty.
Along with his wife Louise, Robert owned and operated the Wash and Dry Laundry. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in WWII. He enjoyed old antique cars and was an avid euchre player.
Mr. Taft is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 10:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Fr. Robert Pienta officiating. Private interment at Roseland Memorials Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 10 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
Contributions to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home would be appreciated.
