Ended this life's journey on June 3, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Mike is survived by his wife Cynthia (Bennett), his constant companion Buddy, his children Michael Warren Clark (Teodora), Daniel Robert Clark and Abigail Ellen Clark Hescott (Dylan), his devoted sister-in-law Kathleen Bennett and his beloved granddaughter Ameila Grey Hescott. His siblings include Michele Saint John (Jeff), David W Clark (Brenda,dec.), Pegeen Fouty (Tom), John M Clark (Gretchen Kuhl) and Pam Ostrander (Tom), and many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Robert C Clark and Norma J Clark.
Mike led a magnificent life born in South Bend Indiana and moving to Jackson in 1967, with a career in Manufacturing and a true love of coaching. Over 43 years he coached many softball, little league, soccer and basketball teams, leaving a lasting impression on many people. Mike filled his life with his faith and his family. He loved playing the guitar, listening to music, watching sports (Especially the Fighting Irish and the Detroit Tigers), reading, photography and swimming at the Jackson YMCA. Additionally, Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Queen's Men's Club. He will be a much missed member of this family and community, as he made friends wherever he went.
His family would like to thank his extended family, his wonderful neighbors, the staff at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital, Care Line Hospice and especially all the prayer warriors of Queen's Church and Lumen Christi Alumni.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 6, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service taking place at 7:00 PM. The family will also receive friends prior to the Mass on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:30 AM. A private interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Queen's School, Lumen Christi High School, The Jackson Interfaith Shelter or Cascades Humane Society.
