Kreger, Robert R.
age 90, of Jackson, passed away on Sunday, July 26th at Vista Grand Villa under the care of Southern Michigan Hospice. He was born in Albion, MI and was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Navy.

Robert was an electrician by trade, working for the IBEW before retiring from Jackson Public Schools in 1987, where he was the chief maintenance electrician.

He was an avid model train enthusiast, and for many years owned and operated "Bob Kreger Service", a retail toy train sales and service store out of his garage.

He is survived by two sons, John (Glenda) Kreger or Horton, MI and David (Patricia) Kreger of Jackson, two sisters, Caroline Swyers of Albion, MI and Cherie Haggard of Fort Collins, Colorado.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jason (Erin) Kreger of Spring Arbor, Alison Kreger of Jackson, Andrew Kreger of Mt. Pleasant, MI, and two great-grandchildren, Jonah and Carter.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Irene in 2006

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Desnoyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southern Care Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association of Michigan.

The family wishes to thank Vista Grande Villa and Southern Care Hospice for their care and support of their father/grandfather.
