Eder, Robert Leo

Age 70, son of the late Herbert and Helen (Roche) Eder passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 26, 2013 under the tender care of his family and Allegiance Hospice. Survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Rita (Roman) and Daughter, Michelle of Grand Rapids. Preceded in death by Brother and Sister-in-law, H William (Bill) and Anna Marie Eder. Also survived by Sister and Brother-in-law, Suzanne (Charles) Johnson, Sr of Louisville, KY and their children Charles (Chip) Johnson, Jr and Julie (Paul) Reilly. Also survived by Bill and Anna Marie's daughters, Mary (Manny) Jimenez and Linda Eder; Grand Nieces and Nephews: Beth Jimenez and Chas, Zach and Olivia Johnson. Bob also leaves behind his beloved canine, Maizee and Grand dog, Dingo. Bob loved the game of golf and was an avid U of M football fan. He retired from Comerica Bank after 30+ years of service.

Mr. Eder is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, December 31st at 10:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Father Timothy MacDonald will officiate at the Funeral Mass.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday, December 30th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary service at 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Queens Church, 606 S. Wisner St., Jackson, Michigan or Allegiance Hospice, One Jackson Square, Jackson, MI 49201.

In addition to Allegiance Hospice, the family would like to extend a Thank You to Rolonda, the Allegiance Personal Care Aide that provided excellent care and assistance.
