Dupree, Robert E.

Beloved father and grandfather, passed away under the loving care of his family, the staff at Trellis Gardens Assisted Living and Great Lakes Hospice on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the age of 93 years. He is survived by his son Richard and his wife Joanne Dupree; grandchildren, Michael and his wife Erin Dupree and Mark Dupree. Four great grandchildren, Samuel, Sawyer, Anna and Adam, sister Rose Scharphorn, brother Carl and his wife Joanne Zomerli, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 56 years June Dupree (Pickering), grandson Matthew Dupree, brother Jack Zomerli and sister Betty Rice.

Robert was a U.S. Naval Veteran of WWII serving on the USS Flint. He retired from the Parma Tube Corporation in Sturgis after many years of service and he enjoyed many years of retirement in Sebring Flordia.

According to his wishes Mr. Dupree has been cremated. A short service with Military Honors will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta Michigan on Wednesday, October 29th at 2:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Legion would be appreciated.
