Born in Detroit, MI on February 2, 1938 and passed away August 21, 2013. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Jane, his trusty companion, Jake, three sons and three grandchildren, and eight siblings plus many nieces and nephews. Bob was a retired manager from Quanex - MacSteel. He stayed active in retirement volunteering for St. Mary Star of the Sea, working many Fall Harvest Festivals and was well known for his cinnamon rolls and pasty making abilities. He was recruited for the Linen Closet by the late, great Jim Keermaekers. He also served on the Board of Catholic Charities for the Jackson/Lansing area. Many of the helpers at the Lumen Christi Rummage Sale will miss his cheerful smile and organizational abilities.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Father Richard Eberle, O.S.F.S. officiating. A private interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday from 3 to 8 PM with a Rosary Service at 6 PM. The family will also receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church.
Thanks go to the wonderful staffs at Allegiance Oncology and Hospice Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary Star of the Sea, Allegiance Hospice Home and the Capuchin Monastery in Detroit.
