Forner, Robert T. "Bob"
Of Jackson, Michigan, passed away May 4, 2019 at the age of 86 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home with his loving wife, Maryann by his side. Robert was born June 16, 1932 and was preceded in death by father, Casper (Cap) and mother, Marcia (Boone), sisters, Barbara (infant), Janet Graham and Joyce Clark.
Bob is survived by his wife, Maryann, brothers, Paul (Bonnie), David (Patricia) and brother-in-law, Charles (Joe) Clark. Bob is also survived by his children, Janis, Diane Monroe (Mike), Sandra, and son Michael (Stephanie). He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Bob graduated from St. John's Catholic High School in 1950 and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Hornet from 1953-1955. Bob retired from Consumers Energy after 38 years of service.
The family would like to thank Henry Ford Allegiance Health 7 West staff, Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home and Pleasant Manor Adult Foster Care, especially Sondra and Karen, for their exceptional care and comfort provided. A special recognition to Bob's brother, David and John (nephew), daughter and son-in-law Diane and Mike Monroe for always being there when needed, daughters Janis and Sandra for their caring devotion.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Jackson First Church of the Nazarene (JaxNaz), 3905 Clinton Way on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Pastor Bryce Gernand and Pastor Bart Hall officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Pantry at the First Church of the Nazarene, 3905 Clinton Road, Jackson, MI 49201 or Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice House at 2150 Kingsbrook Road, Jackson, MI 49201
