Of Jonesville passed away peacefully on Monday, October 11, 2010 age 76 years. Survived by her husband of 27 years, Jack W. Rice. Seven children; Karen (Jim) Pipher, Dennis Buskirk, John Buskirk, Thomas (Dawn) Buskirk, Julie (Tom) Stubbins, Alan Buskirk Jr. and Maria (Lou) Lofton. 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. One brother, Donald (Dorothy) Doering. Two sisters; Irene Conklin and Rosie (Bob) Lowden, sister in law Virginia Firth and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her first husband, Alan Buskirk Sr. Rita was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and had been employed at the National Child Safety Council and the Jackson Country Club. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Friday at 10:30 AM.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Friday from 10 to 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Francis Street Food Pantry or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
