Sierminski, Richard Joseph

of Jackson, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the age of 80. He is survived by his three sons, Richard (Rosemary), Rodney, and Robert (Genevieve); grandchildren Andrew, Matthew, Ashley, Ayannah, and Theodore; sister Patricia Czekaj; numerous nieces and nephews; and long-time friend Richard (Chico) Sitko. He is preceded in death by his parents Alex and Sarah Sierminski and wife of 57 years, Phyllis Jean (Lavey).

Richard's favorite activities included gardening, vintage tractor repair, and traveling to Northern Michigan casinos. He retired from Miller Tool & Die after 45 years of service and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Fr. Tim Nelson officiating. Interment will be held at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.

The Sierminski family would like to thank Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice, with special thanks to primary care nurse Gayle, and home health aide Renee.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Richard's honor to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice in Jackson, Michigan.
