Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in Jackson, MI. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Diane (Forner) Loring; children Bruce (Melissa) Loring, Jennifer (Chuck) Wintergerst , Heather Loring; three grandchildren Lily, Chloe, and John Wintergerst; seven siblings-Bill Loring, Joe Loring, Susan Shafer, Tom Loring, Mike Loring, Steve Loring, and Debbie Feaster.

Richard was an avid Golfer and Golf Instructor. He loved life, Sparty, tending to his garden, visiting many local establishments and sharing his enigmatic personality with all. Many people have a "Bird Story." He was a man of great integrity and will be greatly missed.

Mr. Loring is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Reverend Robert Pienta officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 17 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
