Gamble, Richard L. "Dick"

On May 26, 2025 surrounded by his family, our father jumped out of his earthly body, grabbed his blue jeans and work boots, climbed up on his bulldozer and pushed his way to the heavenly gates to be greeted by the love of his life his wife "Betty" Elizabeth Veronica who passed before him in 2010.  Dick is survived by his only son, Rob L. Gamble; daughters, Tammie Furgason and Becky (Ben) Puhr; grandchildren, Rachel Elizabeth Furgason, Logan Furgason and Charlie Radford; and great grandson, Sawyer Furgason aka "Hoss". He was preceded  in death by his parents, Ernest and Ruby Gamble and brothers, Pete and Ernie Gamble.

Dick was a 1959 Napoleon High School Graduate and retired from Jackson Drop Forge. Before Dick and Betty embarked on their marital journey, he started building their first house at the age of 18 years old.  His father-in-law called him a "Jack of all trades". Their wedding reception was held at their newly built home.  Due to a growing excavating business, Dick built his second home a few houses down.   Dick enjoyed the outdoors, meeting his friends for coffee, and enjoying all his animals especially Gabby, Sadie, and Tomboy.

A Celebration of Dick's Life will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29 at 1:30 PM with Father Timothy Nelson officiating.  Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.

Contributions to St. Mary Star of the Sea, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Cascade Humane Society would be appreciated.
