Richard J. Galicki,
age 77, of Jackson, MI passed Sunday, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judith (Tiffany); two children Chris (Lori) Galicki, Anne Birchmeier (Stan); grandchildren Andrew Galicki and Tiler and Kelsey Bacon and a sister Janet Palmer (John), and sister in law Karen Tiffany. He will also be missed by his special furry companion "Peaches". He was preceded in death by his father Joseph F. Galicki and his mother Harriet (Drongowski) Galicki.
Richard retired from Orion Engineering in 2002. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and an avid hunter and fisherman. He shared his lifelong love for the outdoors with many friends and family.
According to his wishes Richard has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of The Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Timothy MacDonald officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10 to 11 AM.
The family would like to thank the entire staffs of Allegiance Health- Gayle M. Jacob Cancer Center and the Allegiance Health Hospice Home for their love, care and support of Richard during his illness. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Allegiance Health Hospice Home at (http://www.allegiancehealth.org/foundation/donate).
