of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the age of 65 years. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet K. DeWaters; two sons, Richard Lee (Karen) DeWaters III and Matthew Jason (Stacy) DeWaters; two grandchildren, Thomas Christopher DeWaters and Nicole Benner; two great grandchildren, Mackensie and Addison Benner; mother, Helen M. DeWaters; two sisters, Roxana Medley and Cecilia (Bradley) Boley; one brother, Dennis (Michaelle) DeWaters Sr.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Dick was employed at Commonwealth Associates for 47 years. He was an Army Veteran, an avid woodworker and home builder.

Mr. DeWaters is at Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, October 6 at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Fr. Kurian Kollapallil as the celebrant. Private interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00-6:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 5:00 PM.
