Richard E. "Dick" Bedore

Richard "Dick" E. Bedore, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2025 after a short illness at the age of 91 years old.

Dick was preceded in passing by his wife of 68 years, Marvalee; parents, Howard and Helen Bedore; brother, Kenneth Bedore; and his sister, Janet Ogle.

He is survived by his five children, Mary Jo (Alan) Clark, Pam (Bill) Bufton, Wendy (Paul) Gire, Rick Bedore, and Paula (Charlie) Johnson; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many friends at his local coffee group.

Dick was a long time member at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church and a part of the Local 324 Operating Engineers.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Sprint cars and tinkering in his garage.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Father Tim Nelson officiating. A private interment will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
