Richard J. Corder

Richard James Corder fought courageously but lost his battle to cancer on May 5, 2020. Rick lived his life with integrity and humility. He was always the first one to step in when there was a problem. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Janet (Thompson), two sons Kyle (Holly) and Richard N. and two grandchildren, Marla and Clark. He is also survived by his brothers Jerry (Laurie), Robert (Jo), and sisters, Jan Henderson and Jill Stinnett, along with several nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Janet Corder, and brother-in-law Clifford Henderson.

His greatest joy in life was his family and he will be remembered for always being able to calm a crying baby. He was an animal lover and had compassion for all living things.

The family would like to thank the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice team, Dr. Trimble and staff, and Dr. Vance and staff for taking such wonderful care of Rick.

As per his wishes, there will be no memorial service. Donations in Rick's memory can be made to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice or the charity of your choice.
