Passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016. Survived by his wife Marie of 59 years and his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Anne Marie Campbell.

Dick was born in Bay City, Michigan on August 14, 1926 and attended grade through high school there. He enlisted in the Navy during WWII. His duty was in the Pacific on a destroyer, the U.S.S. Southerland. After the war, Dick attended Michigan State where he earned his Bachelors Degree. He worked in Wisconsin, California, Bay City, and Jackson where he was employed at Aeroquip & Clark Equipment. Upon receiving a Masters Degree from MSU, he was hired to work at the State Prison as a counselor. Dick's favorite hobby was golfing. For over twenty years he delivered meals for the Jackson County Food Service.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 7 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Peter Lawrence officiating. Private interment at Fort Custer National Cemetery.

Instead of sending flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
