The matriarch of the Zuzelski family, Regina, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 supported by her family and Hospice. Regina was 96 years old.

Surviving are ten children: six sons, Mark W. (Kay), Dr. Sidney J. (Linda), Dr. Gregory A., William S. (Emma), David A., and John T. (Joanne) Zuzelski and four daughters, Joan Perrine Ruth-(Douglas Perrine, Ernest Ruth -both deceased), Kathleen "Kitty" (William) Worth, Mary Elaine Zuzelski, and Regina C. (Stan) Wille and 29 cherished grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also, survived by last remaining sister Loretta "Sissy" (Joseph-deceased) Marzec; and sisters-in-law Dorcas Miller and Mary Miller. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, William F. Zuzelski, and her parents, Francis P. and Margaret Ellen (Falahee) Miller; brothers Emmanuel, Leo (Phyllis), Raphael (Elaine) and Louis; and sisters, Gloria (Lawrence) Glandorf and Rose Ann (Paul) Scheid; and grandson David Perrine.

Regina was born in Jackson. Attended St. Mary's High School and Jackson Community College. In addition to enjoying being a dedicated, nurturing, full time mother, Regina was active in church and social organizations, took great interest in enjoying family travel, real estate buying, renting and managing properties and was involved in the family businesses started by her father, F.P. Miller. Regina is best remembered for never meeting a stranger who didn't become a dear friend. Special appreciation to family friend Dr. Arnulf Ehmer; and care givers: Cindi, Joan, Lee, Dorinda, and Joanie.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday, April 10, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Tuesday, April 11, at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Tim Nelson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. A private burial will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
