Eicher, Randy Lenny

Age 66, passed away on May 5, 2023.  Randy was born on December 20, 1956.  He was born and raised in Jackson County, by his loving parents, Ray and Geraldine Eicher.  He graduated from Vandercook Lake High, and immediately joined the Navy, where he served for 2 years.  He then worked at Goodyear and his parents bar, The Cabaret.  Afterwards, he became a prison guard for 14 years with the State Prison of Southern Michigan.  He put himself through Law School at Cooley and graduated cum laude.  Upon passing the Bar Exam he began work at Michigan Corrections Organization.  He eventually ventured out on his own, becoming a well known and respected attorney, in high demand.

Randy was a devoted family man, who will be greatly missed.  He loved living on Vandercook Lake, where he enjoyed feeding the ducks and geese, swimming, boating, and going for walks.  He also loved traveling and going on new adventures, as well as playing poker, going out dancing, and spending time with others.

Randy is preceded in death by his wife, Julie Cummings Eicher; and grandmother Thelma Jordon.  He is survived by his parents, Ray & Geri Eicher; his daughter, Nichelle (Minh) Tran; granddaughters, Tristynn and Harleigh Tran; sisters, Lori (Craig) Suomala and Jodi (Tim) Janson; brother Doug (Bonnie) Eicher, and many other loving family members.  Randy believed in the power of God and was at peace during his final days.  His family thanks everyone who was a positive part of his life and showed him love and understanding.

A Memorial/Celebration of Life will be held in June 2023 in Jackson, MI.  In lieu of flowers, Randy requests that you treat yourself to a fun night out and/or make a donation to Rescue Me Jackson Area, 63 Wildflower Way, Jackson, MI 49203  or Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home, 2150 Kingsbrooke Drive, Jackson, MI 49202 in his memory.   Randy's wish is for everyone to treat each other with kindness and respect and to go out and enjoy life to the fullest.
