Holda, Ramona Kathryn

of Jackson, died of natural causes, after a brief illness, on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the age of 83 years. She was born on September 11, 1928 in Austin, Minnesota and was the daughter of Fred and Eva Smith (deceased). She married Bernard Eugene Holda on September 8, 1951 in Jackson, MI. He preceded her in death in November of 1978. She is survived by
Children, Anita "Chickie" (Dr. John) Landgraf, Michelle (Gene) Vaccaro, Dr. Tom (Betsy) Holda, Bill (Lori) Holda, Mary (Mike) Melling, Janet Holda, Carol Holda, John (Amy) Holda, Patty (Dr. Erik) Schulte and the trio; 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren;
siblings, Richard (Ann) Smith, Jerome (Nancy) Smith, Delores (Leon) Deraedt, Ted (Elaine) Smith, Gerry (Judy) Smith, Dennis (Nevis) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews. She owned Holda Appliance and TV and managed the business in collaboration with her son, Bill, for 31 years after her husband's death in 1978. She was also a member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10-10:30 AM. Mass of the Christian Burial will then take place at 10:30 AM with Reverend Father Mathias Thelen being the celebrant. Cremation will follow the funeral Mass.
