Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the age of 85 years.  She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Arthur; granddaughters, Chazvan (John) Nelson and Dana Herrera; and two great grandsons, Chase Nelson and Kaiden Rippee.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Romonia Valdez and her precious daughter, Rita.

Ramona was a fighter.  Her later years had been filled with so much sickness but she never gave up.  She lived a life looking after her family.  Ramona was loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Father Tim Nelson officiating.  Interment will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Thursday, August 24 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
