GREGORIO, PILAR P.
Went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the age of 87. She has been a resident of Jackson since 1976. Born in Iloilo City, Philippines on October 2, 1922. Pilar died peacefully under the loving care of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anastacio and her oldest daughter Terri. Pilar is survived by her three children; Norma (Sherman) Smith, Anita, and Ramon (Belinda). Seven grandchildren; Kerri, Lance (Erin), Darius, Aaron, Darrell (Missy), Melissa & Nathan. Two great grandchildren; Tiffany and Gabriella. Several nieces and nephews. Pilar retired from Kellogg Industries and enjoyed crocheting, reading and spending time with her family. Mrs. Gregorio is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held Friday 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church 10:00 AM. Rev. Timothy MacDonald officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral Mass with inurnment at Roseland Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Contributions to Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Pilar's memory would be appreciated.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Rosary Thursday 7:00 PM.
The family would like to thank the staff at Allegiance Health 6 Southeast and Hospice for their loving care and attention.
