Verbecken, Pierre "Pete" Henry
Was born June, 27, 1926 in Jackson, Michigan to Rene and Sidonia Verbecken. He was called home on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Pete was preceded in death by his brothers Al and Ed and his sister Mickey.
Pete was married for over 70 years to Janet Mochel. He is survived by his wife and children: Pete, Mark, Karen Brecheisen, Pam Gibson, Cindy Bergstrom and Chriss Esser. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Pete was a Sergeant in the Army during World War II as a paratrooper. His interests included family, coaching Little League, umpiring, basketball, fishing and tennis.
He was a devout Catholic attending Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Saturday, January 22 at 12:30 p.m with Father Timothy MacDonald as the Celebrant.
The family will receive friends at church, before the Funeral Mass, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the St Vincent dePaul Society.
