Thelan, Philip Steven
age 59, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born in Jackson, MI to Barbara June and Andrew Vincent Thelan on July 20, 1951.
Philip is survived by his son, Steven J. (Heather) Thelan, his granddaughter, Kaitlyn of Grand Haven, his stepson, Todd Neblo of Jackson, and his siblings; Anne Thelan of Jackson, Ken (Ginny) Thelan of Hardy Virginia, Andrew Thelan and Dale Thelan of New Port Richey, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel in 2009.
Phil served his country in the U.S. Army and worked in Jackson for 30 years as a Decorating Contractor until he retired in 2008. He was a life long member of Queen's Church and a graduate of Lumen Christi High School. His nurturing and compassionate spirit will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with a Rosary Service being held at 4:00 PM.
A Prayer Service will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of the Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Father Timothy MacDonald will be the celebrant. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
