CARLSON, PHILIP CLARE
of Parma, passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 at the age of 82. Phil was preceded in death by his father John, mother Clara, two brothers Frank and James. Survived by his wife of 57 years Sarah (Sally). Five children; Philip Fred (Pat) of Jackson, Marc (Cindy) of Jackson, Kathie (John) McLain of Ann Arbor, Jill (Dick) Johnson of Jackson and Carol (Bob) Champion of Parchment. Brother Edward (Dorothy) Carlson. Ten grandchildren; Christy, Joanne, Cameron, Philip, Andrea, Raymond, Crystal, Charles, Nikki, and Matthew; six great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and lots of good friends. Phil retired from Consumers Power in 1988 and was a founding member of the Parma Outdoor Club. He was a lifetime member of St. John the Evangelist Parish. According to his wishes Phil has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2009 11:00 a.m at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Rev. James Shaver officiating.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Allegiance Hospice Home or the Cascades Humane Society.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
