ZANE PERRY D.
Of Jackson passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 12, 2011 age 88 years. Survived by one daughter and a step- daughter, Lisa Pepper (Nathan) Pray and Mary Kay (Jack) Thayer. Two grandchildren; Jackie Thayer( Brian ) Ball, Vicky Hovinen, Five great grandchildren; Katherine, Victor, Dorin, Johnathan, Esek and Matthew. Brother William "Bill" Zane and one sister Elizabeth "Betty" Drake, numerous nieces and nephews Preceded in death by his wife Helen, Brother Charles Richard "Dick" Zane, step-daughter Ruthanne J Pepper and a granddaughter Heather M Pepper. Perry was employed with Timken company for eight years and retired from Consumers Energy after 30 years of service. Perry was a member of the Moose Lodge 156, avid golfer, big fan of U of M sports and Detroit Tigers baseball. The family would like to thank Carrie and the staff at the John George home for the loving care and compassion shown to Perry and his family.
A Prayer Service will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of the Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Father James Shaver will be the celebrant, cremation to follow.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 PM to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to John George Home.
