Pauline Elizabeth Mosher
Of Jackson, MI and Bloomfield, CT passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Pauline was born in Casnovia, MI on May 23, 1920 to Glen and Grace (Hanna) Shaw. She married Walter J. Mosher and they shared a life of 69 years together. Pauline graduated from Casnovia High School and Jackson Business University. Upon retirement from Shaw's Furniture Store in 1982, she spent many years baking cookies, gardening, quilting, and knitting countless pairs of mittens for pre-school children. She was a member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church and past president of Alpha Iota Business Sorority. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Janice; and her brother, Raymond. Pauline is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Lola Mosher of Falling Waters WVA; her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and John Eisele of Granby, CT; her sister, Dolores Nyblad of Kent City, MI; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchilren. Her gentle kindness will be remembered by all who knew her. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Seabury Retirement Center for their loving care.
Pauline is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Monday, May 2nd at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Internment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetary. The Reverend Timothy MacDonald officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
