Dedrick, Pauline Helen
Died peacefully, January 31, 2022 at age 97 with her family by her side. Pauline was born September 23, 1924 in Jackson, MI to Paul and Helen (Storrs) Callaghan. She will be missed by her children: Mary Kay Sinnott, Jim (Deby), Martha Rand, Peggy (Scott) Thomas, Karen Bergeron and Laura (Kevin) Hause along with 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, all whom she adored. She is survived also by her brother Paul Callaghan and many nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Thomas in 1981, her parents Paul and Helen Callaghan, her sisters Harriet Cavanaugh and Virginia Moran, her brother Lawrence and sons-in-law James Sinnott, Thomas Bergeron, and Richard Rand.
Faith and family were the center of Pauline's life. She had a lifelong devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary, which sustained her through her life. She passed that devotion on to her children. While she was a member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, she attended daily mass at Queens, St. Mary's or St. John's churches, which brought her peace and joy. When she moved to Chelsea Retirement Community, she found a faith home at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Pauline enjoyed traveling and was very social. She was a member of the Amaranth Club, and several golf and bowling leagues. She loved to play cards, something she enjoyed right up until her final weeks.
The Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, Jackson, MI. Fr. Brendan Walsh will be presiding over the celebration of Pauline's life. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church's Facebook Page.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Desnoyer Funeral Home, 204 N. Blackstone Jackson, MI, from 5 to 8:00 pm with the rosary being prayed at 7:30pm. The family will also receive friends at the church on Friday from 1 to 1:30 pm.
Pauline will be laid to rest at St. John's Catholic Cemetery next to her husband Thomas.
