Passed away Monday October 26, 2020 at the age of 88 under the loving care of his family and Henry Ford Allegiance Health Hospice Care Paul was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great Great Grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family and friends also loved Horse Racing and golfing when ever it was possible. Paul is survived by his wife of 64 years Pamela True, Daughters Julieanne True, Tracy (Brian) Gaston and Jayne True 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
Paul was born on December 16th, 1931 Rives Junction, Michigan as a young man Paul grew up on the family farm under the loving care of his mother and father where he worked the fields and milked the cows Paul often talked about visiting his Grandparents in Ann Arbor were he would go to watch U of M Baseball games Paul met the love of his life Pamela Sargent and they married in 1956 Paul was a Navy veteran served 8 years in the Naval Reserve and had a special love for Upper Michigan and Lake Superior. Paul retired from Kentmore (SPX) in 1995 and enjoyed his time traveling, having coffee and meeting friends at the Jackson crossing every morning where him and Pam would walk and exercise, he loved the game of golf but when asked how he did he always said oh ok i guess and chuckled. Paul loved his 3 Daughters very very much were they each had a special moment they cherished spending time alone with him. Julie remembers her dad taking her ice skating as a little girl where she says she felt like she could fly, and they also went to hockey games and the horse races were she would get 50 cents if she picked the winning horse. Tracy remembers that he was always there for her, supported her in her sports, she would always look up in the bleachers and there he would be cheering her on, it made her day. she was his little tom boy, great memories of camping up north and summer vacations Jayne remembers the nice talks they had over the last few years, his kindness, understanding and good advice when things were difficult Paul didn't have any sons but his son in-law Brian was very fond of him he was a loving and giving man that always made him feel like a part of the family not as a son in-law but as his son and will be sadly missed by him and all that knew his Big Heart and a Gentle Giving Sole.
Paul was preceded in death by his Father Howard L. True, Mother Winifred True and a very special Uncle Professor Kenneth B. Leisenring also brother in-law Charles Sargent and Roger Sargent, Cousin Phillip True, Aunt Francis and Uncle Joe Gamble.
Paul will be cremated and a memorial service will take place for family and friends that wish to attend at Jones Cemetery Lansing Ave Rives Junction Mi. on Friday November 6th at 3:00 pm the family request that instead of flowers and gifts that a donation be made in his name to The Salvation Army, Cascades Humane Society or Cornerstone Christian Church
