Patricia, known by friends as "Pat," and "Patty," was born in Lennox County, Michigan, one of 12 children to Sylvester and Mae Morian. Patty worked at several locations throughout Hillsdale and Jonesville. She completed her nursing degree from Jackson Community College on July 28, 1992 and was licensed as a LPN in the state of Michigan. She was married in 1962 to Melvin Sexton and had one daughter, Sheila (Sexton) Kopczynski (James) of Lewiston, Idaho. Melvin preceded her in death on August 28, 1974. She married Cornelius (Case) Schlosser on December 19, 1975 and had one son, Robert Schlosser (Jennifer) of Jackson, Michigan and five step children. They divorced on July 25, 1980. On August 21, 1989, Patty married, Ervin "Hoppy" York, the love of her life and gained 6 step children, Marcell "Bud" (Cathy), Ervin (Sally), John, Bob, Vivian Woods, and Donna (Bob) Ingall. Hoppy preceded her in death on January 17, 1999 and was waiting to greet her on the evening of her death.
Patty is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a brother Sylvester "Bud" Morian, and three sisters, Rosemary Brinley, Dorothy Chrysler, and Sheila Andruszkiewicz
A fighter till the end, Patty lived and died on her terms. She loved to laugh, share stories, flower garden, and speak her mind. She was always the kid at heart. At her request she has been cremated. The family will intern her in a graveside service and honor her memory at a reception in early fall. The dates of the events will be announced in the paper.
