Whelan, Patricia Mary
Of Manhasset New York, formerly of Jackson, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 age 80 years. Survived by her nieces and nephews; Kathy Mintz, Jim (Brenda) Whelan, Joe (Wendy) Whelan, Rocky (Marlene) Whelan, Patty (Scott) Richey and Wendy (Patrick) Maxwell and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Gladys Whelan, her brother John R. Whelan and her niece Barbara Kay Whelan.
Patricia graduated from St. Mary's High School and worked for 50 years a Registered Nurse including 40 years at North Shore University Hospital.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 30th at Resurrection Ascension Church in Rego Park, New York. An interment service will be held in the chapel of St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Jackson on Wednesday, December 2nd at 10:30 AM with Father John Whitlock officiating.
Instead of flowers the family requests that any donations be made to Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church.
