Patricia Blake Stevens
Of Jackson, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2009 after an unexpected and short battle with lung cancer, under the loving care of her mother and family at her childhood home at the age of 57 years. Born Patricia Marie Blake to Dr. Joseph (deceased) and Jean Blake. Mother to Tonya J. Gaston (deceased March 2009) and Lisa S. Falasco (Joe) and wife of Randall Lee Stevens. She is survived by her siblings Debbie Blake, Susie Emmons (David), Cathy Blake (Ben Bodman), Jack Blake, and Peggy St. Germain and her grandchildren Joey Hodges, Sophia and Jed Falasco and many great nieces and nephews who knew her as Grandma Patty. Patty is a 1971 graduate of Jackson High School. She was an entrepreneur and gifted business woman that never seized to amaze those around her. Patty proved that hard work and determination does pay off and modeled this for her daughters and loved ones. Like her father, Dr. Blake, Patty had a love for animals ranging from English Mastiffs to Umbrella Cockatoo's. She was a talented artist often called upon for her oil paintings and creative verse. Her prize possessions are her three grandchildren. Whether it was making frog soup in the bathtub with Sophie, getting tricked by Jed in the Pet Store with mice, or playing shark in the lake with Joey nothing came before her grandchildren. Patty enjoyed traveling with her husband, her lake home in the Lake Huron National Forrest, rafting, swimming, snowmobiling, family gatherings, crafts, and assisting her friends and family with any type of project in need. Patty loved to laugh and lived life to the fullest. She made everyone special in her life feel as though they were her favorite; especially her nieces and nephews who she treated and loved as if they were her own children. Patty is survived by and forever loved by her nephews: Jason Pape, Jerry Bodman, Jake St. Germain, Matthew Blake, and nieces : Jennifer Bodman, Kimmie Pape, Katie Pape, Bernadette Bagwell, Tricia Wallner, Jessica Emmons, Darbi Rowley, Carrie Emmons, Megan Blake, Amiee Blake, Alyssa Blake, and Kendra Blake. Patty reminded those around here that "can't" was never an option. She will be dearly missed by her several cousins, aunts and uncles, and dear friends. Her memories, smile, and laughter will live forever in all of us.
