Martemucci, Patricia Jean

of Jackson, passed away at her home under the loving care of her family at the age of 89 years. Survived by her husband of 67 years, Michael; two children, James (Carol) Martemucci and Patty (Phil) Rutledge; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Phil) Sczykutowicz, Steve (Rachael) Martemucci, Ryan (Kim) Whitney, Jennifer Spurrier, Nate Whitney, Stefanie (Chris) McClintic, and Matt Rutledge. Eight great grandchildren; Katie, Abbie, Emma, Brooke, Emma, Adam, Grant and Hunter. She was preceded in death by her son John Martemucci.

Jean worked for St. John's Church and retired from the Lyle A. Torrant Center after many years of service. She was a member of the Intermediate School District Retirees Club. Jean loved card playing, camping and polka dancing. She and her husband were awarded numerous trophy's for their polka dancing and she was a member of Guys and Dolls Dance Club.

Mrs. Martemucci is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Father James Shaver will officiate at the Funeral Mass.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:30 PM.
