Hoop, Patricia A.

Of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, January 1st 2022 at the age of 87 years. She was born on May 14, 1934 in Grand Forks North Dakota. Survived by her five children and their spouses and children- Janelle (Gerald) Honn-Ron, Angel, and Greg; Bill ( Roberta) Hoop - Martin and James; Pam (Greg) Noethen- Scott, Sara, Brian, Jennifer; Dave (Deceased) and Bonni ; Richard (Lori) Hoop- Megan, Alex, Allison, Matthew, and Sarah; Bob (Jennifer) Hoop- Robert Jr, Kyle, Teddy, and Alizabeth; and twenty three, soon to be twenty four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years Robert R. Hoop, Father and Mother, Erven and Esther Schmitt; all of her siblings and grandson, David Heckaman.

Pat was a loving wife, mother and grandma, (grandma being her favorite). She traveled from North Dakota in 58 with her husband Bob, making their home in Jackson, where they raised five children. Pat liked to keep busy, and aside from running a tight ship for a busy traveling husband and five active kids she would often be working on projects in her free time, everything from painting statues for the hockey players on her son's and grandson's teams, to crocheting baby blankets for new little ones and knitting washcloths. She was known for her baking skills and willingness to share those baked goods, whether it be cupcakes, bon bons or cookies, if it came out of her kitchen it was known to be great.

She was an active member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Parish Family and would spend Saturday afternoons at the chapel at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Pat enjoyed traveling with Bob back to North Dakota to visit family as they were able to over the years as well going often to Alaska with Bob's work. She loved to spend time with her grandkids and was known for always having cookies in the jar and fresh bread on Fridays.
