Patricia (Pat) Ann Ray, age 83, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, in Brighton, Michigan.
Born on November 4, 1941, Patricia was the daughter of William and Evelyn Kaminski. She graduated from St. John's High School in 1959 and went on to study at Jackson Business University. She spent many years working as the secretary, and book keeper for Ray Construction, a receptionist at Quick Plastics, and then later as a customer service representative at Flagstar Bank .
Patricia had a deep love for animals and nature. An avid equestrian, she found great joy in riding and caring for her horses. Her beloved dog Farley and cats Laci and Lumi were constant companions in her life. She also had a passion for travel and enjoyed discovering new places and meeting people along the way. Known for her wonderful sense of humor, Patricia brought warmth and laughter to those around her.
She was a devoted mother to three children: Jeffrey Ray (deceased), Eric (Dawn) Ray, and Laura (Steve) Hutton. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Elizabeth, Emily, Dylan, Ambria, and Cole—and her great-grandchild, Benjamin.
Patricia lived her faith with devotion. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church before becoming part of the community at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Her commitment to parish life reflected her enduring spiritual strength.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima on September 27th at 11:00. The family will receive friends at the Church starting at 10:00.
Patricia's compassion for animals shone brightly throughout her life. In her later years, she and her friend Michelle devoted themselves to rescuing and socializing feral cats, working with Marla Swartz to ensure they found safe and loving homes.
To honor Patricia's legacy of kindness, the family invites you to support Marla's Come To The Rescue. Donations may be made via:
