Girodat (Richardson), Olga "Rickie"
of Jackson, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald F. Girodat; five children, Don (Sandy), Mark (MaryLyn), Steve (Annette), Rick (Cammie) and Michelle (Joe) Mattina; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Susan (Mike) Buese, Carol Girodat and Cleo Short; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

She was born in Savannah, Georgia on September 28, 1933 to Olive (Dominy) and Wilton Richardson. Her favorite activities were cooking, gardening, traveling in the South, cross-word puzzles, reading and Jeopardy. She served in the United States Air Force and was a Real Estate Agent for many years.

According to her wishes, Mrs. Girodat has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. Father Timothy MacDonald will be the celebrant at the Mass.

The family will receive friends at Queens Church on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rickie's memory may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 6062, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6662.
