Nikola "Nick" Dermit
of Jackson, Mi passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the age of 97 years. Nikola is survived by his wife, son and daughter along with one brother and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and his wife.
Nick had a lengthy career as a mechanical/electrical engineer and worked for several firms until his retirement with Gilbert Commonwealth in 1987. His interests among many were sailing, gardening and the opera. He extensively traveled the world. To end his day he enjoyed a drink with a good cigar. His joy of socializing and story telling will be missed by many.
Per his request cremation has taken place with no service.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Salvation Army in his behalf.
