Mosley, Nedra Scott
Nedra was born December 11, 1926 and passed away October 28, 2015 after a recent illness. She is survived by her son Scott Mosley, daughter in-law Beth and granddaughter Anne of Plymouth, MN, and her daughter Keven Mosley-Koehler and son-in-law John of Ann Arbor Michigan.
Nedra was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. She married Jack Mosley in 1947 and they lived in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon where their children were born. Nedra moved to Jackson, MI in 1961 when her husband was hired by Consumers Power Company and she lived in Jackson since that time.
Nedra had many passions and her vibrancy touched many people in a number of ways. Her main joys were raising her children and volunteering as a tutor with the Jackson Public School System, at Queen's Church and at the Ella Sharp Museum for more than 30 years. She also enjoyed working at the Brokerage House.
Nedra took a compassionate interest in people, nature, and animals, was enthusiastic about her ideas, and was a longtime member of the Jacksonburgh Questers and a book club. Nedra was preceded in death by her father John Scott, her brothers Les Scott, John Scott and Dean Scott, her mother Agnes and her husband Jack.
According to her wishes Nedra has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 6th at 10:30 am at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 606 S. Wisner Street in Jackson. Father John Whitlock will officiate at the Funeral Mass. The family will greet guests between 10:00 and 10:30 am to thank them for their friendship and love, and after the service as well. A private interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church which will go to supporting their annual community holiday meals, or to the Wounded Warriors organization.
