Fitzpatrick (Smith), Nancy S.
of Jackson passed away peacefully under the loving care of her family and Henry Ford Allegiance Health Hospice on Saturday, February 13th, 2021. A graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School, she provided secretarial and book keeping services to three generations of attorneys at the Kelly Law Office. Nancy was a woman of true faith, devotion and loyalty, which gave her inspirational strength. She cherished her time with family and friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, crafting, antiquing, lunches with friends, and the company of many pets through the years. Above all, she always put family first and was a loving wife, mother, mom, "ma", Mimi, "Susie", sister, sister-in-law, aunt and "hooie" to her husband, children, grand and great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Irene Smith, her husband of 41 years, John "Jack" Fitzpatrick, brother Tom Smith, and in-laws Leo Fitzpatrick, Rene Maddelena, Karen Rothenberger and Chris Fitzpatrick. She is survived by children Sean (Sayo) Fitzpatrick, Megan (Mark) Bula, Patrick Fitzpatrick and Erin (Jeffrey) Mazur, grandchildren Natalie, Momoko, Spencer, Kathleen, Carter, Aiko and Timothy, great-grandchildren Jayden and Carlie, siblings Judy Smith and Mark (Cathy) Smith. She is also survived by sisters-in law Jenny Smith, Carolyn Fitzpatrick, Marge (Mike) Edwards, Kayleen (Norm) Purucker, Theresa (Jim) Georgopoulos and brothers-in-law Bob (Sue) Fitzpatrick, Jerry (Sue) Fitzpatrick, Denny (Vicky) Fitzpatrick, Mike (Sandy) Fitzpatrick, Tom Maddalena, Dan Rothenberger, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Father Timothy MacDonald presiding. Private interment to follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Due to COVID, masks and social distancing are requested. For the Funeral Mass the current capacity of the Church is 185 persons. For those unable to attend in person, the funeral will be livestreamed through the Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church's Facebook page.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Cascades Humane Society or Henry Ford Allegiance Health Hospice are appreciated.
