Age 94, of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021. Nancy was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky on August 13, 1927. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Bruce) Bond and Kimberly (James) Bradley, 4 grandchildren, Grandson Toby Spaulding, 1 great-grandchild Briella Spaulding, Granddaughters, Casey (Jay) Ponagai, Claudia Bradley and Camorrie (Steve) Koch and great-grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Lincoln, Lucas and Brooklyn. Nancy is survived by 5 Siblings: Roger Williams, Bert Williams, Marilyn (Carl) Branham, Donna Sue Balog, and Sandy (Barry) Williams. 1 Sister-in-law Hope Williams, many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Also, special mention to the entire Bradley, Lockwood, Spaulding, Harner and Gift families and Dean Crites as they were all so very special to her.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Carl August, her parents, Clifford and Iona (Waggoner) Williams, her mother-in-law Alice (Ed) Livingston and father-in-law Lester (Edna) August and Nancy's brothers, Johnny Williams and Claude Williams, her sister, Terry Britt and 4 younger siblings that passed away at very young ages sister Edna, brothers, DeFord, Paul and Silas. Also, her sister-in-law's Pat Williams, Betty Williams & Helen Williams and brother-in-law's Bobby Britt and Joe Balog.

There was nothing more important to her than her love for all of her family. Nancy was raised in a Christian home among the most loving family. They all have remained really close to one another throughout the years. It was such a joy when we had family get-togethers to have her brothers Roger and Bert play guitars and everyone sing together. Nancy had such a beautiful voice and at one time wanted to be a Professional Singer. She met Carl August when their family moved from Olive Hill, Kentucky to Ypsilanti, Michigan. Carl was the love of her life and they were married for 45 years until he passed away in 1993. Carl worked for the New York Central, Penn Central and Conrail Railroads and they were transferred 17 times to many cities throughout Michigan. She never lost the love she had for the beautiful mountains of Kentucky and Nancy and Carl were on a trip to Kentucky for plans to build a home for their retirement next to her sister and brother-in-law and even had the place picked out when Carl suffered a massive heart attack and passed away.

Nancy was a professional artist for over 65 years and painted hundreds of beautiful portraits, landscapes, seascapes, stills, murals, locomotives, airplanes and wildlife. She was able to paint all of her families portraits. She was the former Vice-President of the Jackson Civic Art Association and member of the Southwestern and Michigan Watercolor Societies. She attended art fairs throughout the State of Michigan as well as many local fairs and had paintings displayed at Jackson College, Westwood Mall and Heatherland Gifts. She was commissioned by the Detroit Tigers to paint 3 of the players: Willie Horton, Dave Rozma and Alan Trammell and a painting of the old Tiger Stadium. She was commissioned by the US Navy to paint many pictures of the nuclear submarines that hung in the entrance hall of the Fleet Ballistic Missile Base in Charleston, South Carolina. She was also commissioned to paint quite a few train paintings for Penn Central, Conrail and Lenawee County Railroads. She wrote many beautiful poems to go with many of her paintings. Her favorite being a poem that accompanied her painting of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
