Callan, Morag

Age 68, of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 1 2014  at Allegiance Hospice Home after a 2-1/2 year  battle with Pancreatic Cancer .  She was born in Farnworth (Manchester) , England on 18 May 1945 to John and Sarah Craig . She  married her husband David on 15 January 1966 in Manchester , England. Morag emigrated to the US with her husband and son in May 1968 and moved to Jackson in April 1970.  She was a homemaker and nurses aide who loved her family, her friends, her dog , her garden, world travel and living overseas. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, David John,  sons Robert Craig of Oklahoma City and Anthony Paul of Sterling Heights, granddaughter Stephanie of Vernon TX , grandsons Hunter, Declan, Ezra, and granddaughter Jordan of  Sterling Heights , one sister, Millicent of Mountain View CA , as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Nancy,  Susan , and brother John.  Morag touched the lives of many and will be sadly missed. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place .

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday April 10 2014 at the Desnoyer Funeral Home , 204 North Blackstone , Jackson, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM . Service will follow on Friday April 11, 2014 at 11 AM also at the Funeral Home, with the Reverend Richard Brooks officiating .  Interment details will be announced later.

For those who wish , in lieu of flowers , memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cascades Humane Society .
