Of Vandercook Lake, loved with no limits and left a mark on the soul of anyone whom she loved. These souls ached with great sorrow when God called her home suddenly on the morning of Thursday, March 8, 2018. She was a kind hearted woman with a strength inside her that could not be measured. Her smile was infectious and her joy contagious. She was a hard worker dedicating many of her years to Gerdau MacSteel in Jackson. Her love for animals was endless.

Monica was born to Jerry and Sylvia Sisk on November 9, 1959 in Jackson, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Sisk. She is survived by her mother, Sylvia Sisk; brothers, Danny (Margaret) Sisk and Tom (Joanna) Sisk; sister, Debbie (Chad) Lambdin; sons, Charles (Erin) Rumsey and Mark (Kris) Rumsey; six grandchildren, Chas, Kaitlynn, Jacob, Tyler, Madeline, and Kyle Rumsey; and numerous nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.

Funeral services will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her father, Jerry.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 12 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

The family is asking that any donations be made to the Cascades Humane Society.
