Mildred Erma Buckner

Mildred Erma Buckner was the fourth child of fourteen children born on September 13, 1930 to the parents of Delbert Woods and Pearl Howard in Shelbyville, Missouri.  Mildred joined in marriage to Charles Kenneth Buckner (deceased) on August 7, 1951. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren when she succumbed to pneumonia on January 25, 2022 at Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson, Michigan.

She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Her favorite pastime was watching soap operas, listening to country music, and an occasional trip to the casino.

Those left to cherish Mildred's memory are her children, Louise Young (Greg), Linn Buckner (Rita), Ann Heard (Derrick), Connie Clark (Michael)
Phillip Buckner (Indrea), and Pamela Buckner; her fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; her surviving siblings Ida Harris, Lois Holland, Barbara Hall, and Linda Jones; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Mildred's Life will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Ronald Joplin officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 1 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, February 2 from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon.
