Passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is survived by her daughter, Mary H. (Barczak) Frank; son, Thomas S. (Stacia) Barczak; granddaughters, Jordan K. Frank and Sophia C. Barczak; grandsons Devin B., Jacob T., and T. Isaiah Barczak; sister, Mary Frances (O'Connell) VenRoy; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, Louis W. and Mary A. (Kelly) O'Connell; brother, Louis "Mick" O'Connell; sister Nancy (O'Connell) Holbrook; partner, Thomas Herdegen; brother-in-law, Michael J. Venroy; and son-in-law, Michael D. Frank.

Michaeleen was a mother who loved her children, her family, and friends. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse and enjoyed music, poetry, and family get-togethers. Michaeleen had a deep faith in God. She graduated from St. Johns High School, GVSU Criminal Justice, and GRCC Nursing (LPN).

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Michaeleen's name will be said at Masses in Jackson and Grand Rapids. A family celebration will be held at a later date.
