passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the age of 45. A native Jackosonian, Mike is survived by his wife Dea (Deanna Grinold) and their three children Trey, Hannah and Livi. He also precedes parents Dan and Carol (Ives) Talmage, siblings Michele (Talmage) and Andy Neuland, Chris and Rosie (Pashion) Talmage, Kevin and Yoli (Collado) Talmage, parents-in-law Brent and Gerry (Everett) Grinold, siblings-in-law, Tammy (Grinold) Hamilton, Kyle Grinold, grandmother Betty Everett-Fogel, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and the Holy 8. Born on February 9, 1967, Michael grew up roaming and exploring the acres of Ives Gardens and Sargent Road. He was an adventurous kid who loved the outdoors and the ice rink, ultimately playing AA hockey in Detroit. Mike graduated from East Jackson High School in 1985 and, after a short time at LCC in Lansing, enlisted in the US Air Force. Mike spent most of his service time at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia where he was an accomplished Air Traffic Controller and private pilot, earning his Bachelors Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Mike served in support of Desert Shield/Desert Storm and controlled the first fighter wing to leave from Langley for that operation. Mike met Dea in October of 1992 when he was home on leave, he returned home for good in April of 1994 and the two were married on April 22, 1995. Soon after, they celebrated the arrivals of Trey, Hannah and Livi who were the crowning achievements of Mike's life. For 15 years, Mike served as the President of Arro Supply and recently became the local Branch Manager of AHB Tooling & Machinery Inc. Mike's love of the outdoors never waned. An avid fisherman, ice skater, bicyclist and lawn mower, Mike relished all seasons in Michigan. Loved by so many and missed by all, he has been freed into the arms of those waiting for him and to the four legged companions he loved dearly.

Mike is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A celebration of Mike's life will take place on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Jackson with Pastor Ed Ross officiating.
