Of Jackson, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the age of 90 years. Survived by two children, James (Carol) Martemucci and Patty (Phil) Rutledge, Seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Phil) Sczykutowicz, Steve (Rachael) Martemucci, Ryan (Kim) Whitney, Jennifer (Steve) Kirk, Nate Whitney, Stefanie (Chris) McClintic and Matt Rutledge. Ten great grandchildren, Katie, Delaney, Abbie, Emma, Brooke, Emma, Adam, Grant, Hunter and Logan. Brother, Frank (Jean) Martemucci. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jean and their son John Martemucci.

Mike was a US Army Veteran of WWII and retired from the State Prison of Southern Michigan after 34 years. He was a member of the Michigan State Police Jackson Post retirees group and the Southern Michigan Law Enforcement Association. Mike loved to bowl, play cards, camp, and polka dance. He and his wife were awarded numerous trophies for their polka dancing and he was a member of Guys and Dolls Dance Club.

Mr. Martemucci is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 11:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 12:00 Noon. Father James Shaver will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Private interment at St. John's Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.
