Michael J. Job
passed away peacefully at Bethany Home on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the age of 89 years. He is survived by his devoted children; sons, Michael W., Stephen J. (Shelley), Randall J. (Anne), Jeffrey D. (Becki), daughter, Milissa S. Laves (Ronnie Greer); his son-in-law, Royal DeVries; his brothers, John (Dee) and Joe (Alicia) and sister, Stella Formella; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Anna Job, his wife Patricia and daughter, Priscilla A. DeVries; also by 5 brothers and 5 sisters.

Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and was very kind and generous to everyone he met. As a father he was most proud of his children. He retired from St. Joseph Parish after 25 years of devoted service. He was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the St. Joseph Men's Club. He was dedicated to visiting the St. Joseph Chapel every Wednesday. He enjoyed life and embraced fully his Polish heritage. He enjoyed all sports, especially fishing, hunting, golf and bowling. And of recent years, watching sports on TV especially his favorite teams, Detroit Tigers and New England Patriots.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on, Friday, December 29th, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 707 N. Waterloo, Jackson, MI with Father James Shaver as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends before Mass, at church, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

The family suggests that, instead of sending flowers, please consider a memorial donation to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Bethany Home.
