Michael Fearer died at home in Grass Lake, Michigan on August 24, 2020, at the age of 84 from his battle with cancer.
Mike was born on June 23, 1936, in Plymouth, Michigan, to Fred and Gladys Fearer and attended Plymouth High School. He married Esther Hall on December 3, 1977. Mike Fearer has always been an entrepreneur who built a successful concrete construction business in Brighton, Michigan and retired after twenty years. He continued to pour concrete on his own until the age of 80 years old. He also worked part time for the Village of Grass Lake as the Zoning Enforcement Officer for nearly five years. He was an active Jackson YMCA member who loved to play paddle ball, and racket ball for hours every day.
Mike is survived by his wife Esther; children Cheryl Cavins of Whitmore Lake, Michigan, Michael (Bonnie) Fearer of Howell, Michigan, Mark (Melissa) Fearer, Mitchell Taggart, and Steven (Kelly) Fearer all of Whitmore Lake, Michigan, step-son Wayne (Janey) Bisard of Grass Lake, Michigan and his sister Annie Skoglund of Cheboygan, Michigan. Mike had eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Gladys Fearer and his Brother, Bruce Fearer of Bangor, Maine.
A wake is scheduled for August 29, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Grass Lake Depot, 210 E. Michigan Avenue, Grass Lake, Michigan. Pastor Lloyd Williams will officiate the wake.
