Passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the age of 63 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Maribeth A. (Waugh) Coulombe; three children, Katherine Marie (Nicholas) Forte, Michael Christopher Coulombe, and Patrick Joseph (Jamie) Coulombe; three grandchildren, Oliva Ray Forte, Nathan Hugh Forte, and Charlotte Persephone Coulombe; mother, Dolores (Manier) Coulombe; eight siblings, Cathy (Jerry) Shannon, Dan (Loyda) Coulombe, Claudette (Gary) Coulombe Baker, Bob (Cindy) Coulombe, Tom Coulombe, Shelley (Joe) Zonts, Bill (Kim) Coulombe, and Janine (Craig) Staudinger; brothers and sisters-in-law, Karen (Tom) Doughty, John (Patty) Waugh, Christine (Frank) Waugh-Fleischmann, Daniel (Catherine) Waugh, Katherine Schweit, Susie (Robert) Belttari, and Julie (Andrew) Svinicki.

Mr. Coulombe was born in Groton, Connecticut. He moved to the Jackson area as a child, marrying, working, and raising his children in the community.  He proudly served in the United States Navy for four years on the Destroyer U.S.S. Coontz, DDG-40, and served two years in the Naval Reserves He was a master electrician and used those talents, last employed as the facilities manager for Ryder Logistics in Lansing, Michigan. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed antique cars, reading, and playing with his grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Jackson. Fr. James Shaver will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Lincoln-Pomeroy Cemetery on Lincoln Road in Tompkins Center.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday, February 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at the Church, before the Mass, on Friday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice in Jackson.
