Rogers, Max A.
age 70, of Horton, MI passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Max was born on March 18, 1943 to Arthur and Ethel Rogers in Frankfort, IN. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Anne, Sons, Kevin (Julie) and Brian, Baby Granddaughter, Lainey, Father-in-law, Eric (Jayne, dec) Schwenker, Sisters-in-Law and their husbands: Susie (Ted, dec) Kuhlenschmidt, Beth (Gregg) Baker, Amy (Jerry) Walker and Julie (Michael) Slifka, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Max was a proud graduate of Indiana University, served as an artillery officer in the US Army from 1965-1968 and retired from Consumers Energy after 38 years of service. Max loved his family, sailing, soccer, Hoosier basketball and his retirement years on Round Lake, where he puttered endlessly with newfound friends.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Desnoyer Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Association., the Lyle Torrant Center, or the American Cancer Society.
He was a gentle soul with the biggest heart and will be verily missed.
